San Jose, October 17, 2024 – H3 Platform and Samsung will jointly showcase the CXL 2.0 VCS Memory Sharing Solution at the OCP Global Summit, held at the San Jose Convention Center in California. At this event, Samsung will present its advanced CXL Memory Module. At the same time, H3 Platform will demonstrate its groundbreaking Virtual CXL Switch (VCS) mode, a technology set to revolutionize data center architecture.
H3 Platform’s VCS mode enables servers to view downstream memory, greatly improving memory management and allowing for more precise event notifications. This technology allows data centers to manage memory resources more efficiently and dynamically adjust to different application scenarios, enabling the CXL host to better manage downstream devices.
"Samsung is thrilled to introduce a switch-based CXL memory pool system in collaboration with H3P. Through this collaboration, Samsung and H3P have made significant progress in making the memory pooling market a reality. Samsung expects CMM-D to be widely adopted in various applications such as AI and HPC,” said Hojun Shim, Vice President of NAND Application Engineering Team at Samsung Electronics, “We will also prepare thoroughly for the rapidly growing CXL DRAM market by developing and supplying CMM-D products optimized for high-capacity memory as per customer requirements."
“VCS mode takes memory allocation and management in data centers to a deployable CXL solution,” said Brian Pan, CEO of H3 Platform. “Through our collaboration with Samsung and Gigabyte, we have developed this innovative solution that enables servers to better monitor and manage memory, providing robust support for modern data-intensive applications. Gigabyte has also provided an AMD Turin server for testing, which has been crucial for validating this technology. We are also conducting co-validation with Samsung to ensure the best results for the CXL Memory Sharing Solution.”
