Falcon 4118 provides instant benefits by aggregating the traffic of multiple PCIe 3.0 accelerators and connecting to the server at full PCIe 4.0 speeds. It is also ready for any PCIe 4.0 devices.
Up to 8 hosts can share 18 devices on-demand. With Falcon 4118 you can save up to a day in setup time alone. You can remove the resource from one host and easily add it to another host. The resources are re-arranged at the right place and at the right time. IT administrators would find that to be easy and intelligent. Falcon 4118 integrates up to 18 NVMe, GPU, or FPGAs and allows accelerators and high-speed storages P2P communication via PCIe 4.0 interface to deliver maximum throughput for inference workloads. Falcon 4118 also supports DMA, the data moves directly between the NVMe and accelerators to eliminates unnecessary memory copies. This significantly lowers CPU overhead and latency and improves overall performance for any AI inference applications.

Falcon 4118 comes with two PCIe switches inside. Each switch is equipped with 8 PCIe 4.0 x8 slots and 1 PCIe 4.0 x16 low profile slots- 8 single width slots are dedicated to PCIe devices while the low-profile slots could be configured as either device ports or host ports
There are two configuration modes of Falcon 4118 including standard mode and advanced mode. Configuration is unchangeable under standard mode, but changeable with two low-profile slots under advanced mode as each low-profile slot could be configured as one x16 port, two x8 ports, four x4 ports or combined.
The following are some common configurations of Falcon 4118 to start with.
